Brandenburg Textilkollektion: Märkisch Oderland

Local Ties and Homage to East Germany's Rich History

Märkisch Oderland: An Expression of Tradition, Strength, and History

Our new collection is dedicated to the Märkisch Oderland (MOL) district, a region brimming with history, impressive landscapes, and cultural heritage. As the heart of Barnim, Lebus Land, and the Oderbruch, MOL unites vast fields, traditional towns like Königsberg and Angermünde, and the legacy of the GDR – from characteristic prefabricated building architecture to the unshakeable East German mentality.

A Design That Tells a Story

Our textiles are inspired by the district's coat of arms, which features the Märkisch Eagle in strong red with a golden-yellow beak. The design is complemented by the prominent symbols of the coat of arms: the shield with a star and the crossed boat hooks. These symbols stand for vigilance, determination, and the deep connection of the people to their homeland.
